Risk & security assessments

Most security spending starts with a guess — more cameras, more lights, another guard post. An assessment replaces the guess. We walk the site, test how it actually behaves, and hand you a ranked list of what matters.

Site survey

Approach routes, boundaries, entry points, lighting, camera coverage and blind spots, key and access control, alarm response — observed in operating and off-hours conditions.

Threat & vulnerability analysis

Each observation is matched to a credible threat and rated by likelihood and impact, so a broken latch on a back gate isn't weighed the same as a spare key in a drawer.

Report & recommendations

A written findings register with evidence, ordered by consequence, and controls split into what costs nothing, what costs little, and what needs capital.

    Scope

    We agree what's being assessed — perimeter, buildings, access control, cash or stock handling, staff routines, after-hours cover — and what a good outcome looks like for you.

    Site survey

    On-site walkthrough while the site is running, and again when it's closed. Most of what matters only shows up in one of those two states.

    Analysis

    Findings are rated and ordered, so the list you receive is sequenced by consequence rather than by what's easiest to fix.

    A written report and a sit-down walkthrough of the findings with you and, if you want, your team — including what costs nothing to fix.

Evidence, not opinion

Findings come from what's observed and recorded on site. If something can't be substantiated, it's flagged as an assumption and named as one.

Confidential by default

A security report is a map of your weak points. Ours are released only to the people you nominate, under a written confidentiality agreement.

No conflict of interest

We aren't tied to a hardware supplier or a guarding roster, so no recommendation exists to sell you something.

Before you ask

The things people want to know before they pick up the phone.

  • What does an assessment actually involve?

    A walkthrough of your site while it is operating, and again when it is closed. It covers approach routes, boundaries, entry points, lighting, camera coverage and blind spots, key and access control, and alarm response. Each observation is matched to a credible threat and rated by likelihood and impact. You receive a written findings report and a sit-down debrief.

  • What does it cost?

    There is no standard price, because a single retail unit and a fenced industrial site are not the same job. We agree the scope, the timeline and a fixed price before any work starts, so the figure you are quoted is the figure you pay.

  • How long does it take?

    It depends on the size of the site and how it operates. The timeline is agreed with you at the scoping stage, before any work begins, along with the scope and the price.

  • Do you provide guards or armed officers?

    Not at present. Iron Door is an unarmed advisory and assessment practice, and we do not currently provide manned guarding, armed personnel, close or personal protection, or alarm monitoring contracts. Additional service lines are in development as the company grows, and each will be listed here once it is operational.

  • Will you try to sell me equipment?

    No. We supply no equipment and receive no commission on hardware. Where a client wants a recommendation implemented we can refer them to a partner, and they remain free to use any supplier they choose. Because nothing in the report exists to sell you something, the ranking reflects risk rather than margin.

  • Who gets to see the report?

    Only the people you nominate. A security report is a map of your weak points, so ours are issued confidential, client eyes only, under a written confidentiality agreement. We do not publish client work. The specimen report on this site was written for a client who does not exist.

  • We already have cameras and a guard. Is an assessment still worth it?

    That is often the best time for one. An assessment tells you whether what you are already paying for is reducing risk, and where the gaps sit around it. Some of what comes back costs nothing to fix.

  • Where do you work?

    Trinidad and Tobago. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, though site surveys can be scheduled after hours where the assessment requires it.

What's inside

How to read it

Every observation carries a reference that follows through to the risk register and the remediation schedule, so any recommendation can be traced back to the thing that was actually seen on site. Nothing appears in the recommendations that isn't evidenced earlier in the report.

A note on confidentiality

The client in this specimen does not exist. A real assessment report describes exploitable weaknesses in a specific premises and is issued confidential — client eyes only. We don't publish client work, and we won't publish yours.
